Village Farmer’s Market Stalls

We’re pleased to report good progress in our efforts to bring a Saturday Farmer’s Market to the former 271 bus-stand site. Discussions with Camden are ongoing, and we’re optimistic about securing approval for a three-month trial of four stalls, giving us the chance to assess community interest and whether it attracts more footfall to the High Street.

We’re partnering with an experienced market operator who successfully runs both the Stroud Green Market (https://stroudgreenmarket.com) and Tufnell Park Market (https://tufnellparkmarket.com). His experience and community focus give us confidence that the Highgate market will be well-run and in keeping with the village’s character. The operator appreciates the importance of finding a range of stalls that complement the High Street businesses and these may rotate given there will only be 4 pitches. Our goal is to launch the preliminary trial ahead of Christmas if possible – please pay a visit.
