The removal of the 271 bus route in February 2023 left an unsightly hole in the middle of Highgate Village. In November 2023 Camden officers suggested a remedial scheme of simple York Stone paving would be acceptable. Subsequent correspondence with Camden supported this approach but confirmed that no funding was currently available. On this basis the Society’s planning committee agreed to take the first step by applying for planning permission
