Christmas Market in the Old Bus Stand

It was lovely to see the centre of the village so buzzy on a cold December day. For a day we brought life to the centre of the village with a range of interesting food and drink stalls as well as gifts. The available stalls were oversubscribed and stallholders benefited from good footfall.

Importantly, rather than taking custom away from other shops the market added to the footfall in the village and Mary’s Living and Giving for example just next to the market reported additional customers and good sales. Crouch End Candles who had a stall said they had sold twice as much as in Muswell Hill the previous week end. 

We demonstrated that the Old Bus Stand is suitable for a small market that could be repeated regularly with a suitably varied offering. 

Better weather would be nice!
