Camden together with Islington have now completed the first phase of the consultation, misleadingly named the Dartmouth Park Healthy Neighbourhood consultation – the area involved also covers Highgate. Please see our previous report in the October newsletter, and attached here our comments to Camden. We’ve requested that the next phase of consultation gives greater recognition to Highgate, in particular the potential repercussions of changes across the border in the Haringey parts of Highgate.
The online map which allowed for pins to be placed and then comments to be added has closed. However, it is still possible to make comments on another map which is here https://safetravelcamden.commonplace.is/map/safe-travel-camden-map. Please take the opportunity to do so.
With the aim of building up a database of knowledge about traffic conditions, we’ve started a series of traffic walks. These will identify where there are snarl ups, the parking situation, and facts about walking and cycling as well as pavement conditions. The first of these are:
1. Chetwynd Road to South Grove via West Hill
2. Hampstead Lane from The Grove to Kenwood
Please contact us through our website if you’d like to be involved in recording other walks through Highgate.
