Horace Jones is the man who designed Tower Bridge, and some of the City of London’s best known sights, like the markets of Smithfield, Billingsgate and Leadenhall.   Yet he is almost completely unknown and uncommemorated.   In this illustrated talk David Lascelles will ask why the world has forgotten an architect who left as deep a mark on the City as Christopher Wren.

David Lascelles is a journalist and writer who spent much of his career at the Financial Times where he developed a deep interest in City affairs.  He is a long term resident of Highgate.
