Two new defribillators
in Highgate

Two new defibrillators purchased through fundraising by pH.7 Life in Balance gym on the Archway Road in liaison with The Highgate Society, are now installed at: 

– The Woodman Pub, side door entrance on the Archway Road, next to the escalator exit of Highgate Underground Station, and 

 – Outside the Gentlemen\’s Toilets in Pond Square, Highgate Village 

Both these defibrillators are accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 

Throughout May 2019 pH.7 ran an inaugural fitness challenge, the “pH.7 Heart Burner” for its clients to burn at least 153,000 calories using the cardiovascular machines in the gym. Across the month they burned a total of 163,386 calories and raised £6k to purchase two defibrillators for Highgate and one for the gym. 

James Hutchison proprietor of pH.7 with his partner, Nick Palma, approached the Highgate Society for help in finding readily available locations for the new AED’s and the Society liaised with Camden Council and Tom Helliwell, proprietor of the Woodman Pub. 

Defibrillators in Highgate are now at: 

Tesco, 32-34 Highgate High Street, accessible 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week 

Highgate School  Entrance Lodge, opposite the Gatehouse, accessible 24 hours, 7 days a week via the security guard.

Pond Square, 24 hours 7 days a week
