Monday 12th April 2021
7.30 pm
An online talk by Leo Henghes.
Leo Henghes has lived in Uganda since 2013. He is the founder of United Social Ventures, a charity that believes social ventures represent the best opportunity for young people to be able to bring about systemic changes in their communities, as well as being central to creating a fairer global economy.
Leo will give an illustrated talk about how United Social Ventures has evolved over the last few years, partnerships with universities and start-ups, and the opportunities and challenges of working in a country where 46.5% of the population are under 15 years old and there is huge under-employed workforce. The talk will include a variety of projects in environment, energy, food production health and education and show how the model he has developed can be transformational to the prospects of young people.
