Kentish Town City Farm: past, present and future
Wednesday 23rd March 2022
7.00 for 7.30 pm
10A South Grove N6 6BS and on Zoom
As the first City Farm we have an incredible history at the heart of the community. Our 4 acre site, nestled between 2 railway lines and surrounded by local authority housing is a sanctuary in the city. We run programmes for children, young people and families as well as older people and those with additional needs, bringing people of all backgrounds together to care for the animals, the land and each other. The talk will cover our early days where our founders claimed unused buildings and spaces across Kentish Town, giving local people ownership and encouraging creativity, to our ongoing battle of survival including the well publicised Hands Off Our Farm Campaign through to this year our 50th Birthday and our hope and ambitions for our future.
Eira Gibson, Director of Kentish Town City Farm.
Entry £5 including a complimentary glass of wine. The meeting is also available on Zoom for £3. To book click here.
