Highgate Gives launched to support Haringey Giving
As many of us know, sadly there are many people in our boroughs, only a few miles from our doorsteps here in Highgate, who are suffering great hardship during the Covid-19 crisis. The pressure on foodbanks is increasing weekly and community organisations are overwhelmed with requests for help.
We would like to support the incredible work of these local organisations and have partnered with Haringey Giving, a totally independent local organisation set up to support local community projects across the borough of Haringey, by setting up a dedicated Highgate fundraiser to get funding to where it is needed most.
Haringey Giving is supporting 23 local community projects, from those that support the most vulnerable elderly refugees, to those that provide counselling to young adults, to supporting food banks. However, more funds are urgently needed as the pandemic continues to seriously impact the lives of those hardest hit by this crisis.
We are therefore asking Highgate residents if they are able to help their neighbours by either setting up a regular donation or by making a one off donation. Many thanks,
