Mark Swenarton is an architectural historian, critic and educator. His first book Homes fit for Heroes (1981) was recently re-issued to mark the centenary of the 1919 Housing Act and his most recent book Cook\’s Camden: The Making of Modern Housing (2017) is now in its third printing. A longstanding Highgate resident, Mark is emeritus professor of architecture at Liverpool University. Photo Tim Crocker.
