We want to help the people of Ukraine. As a small contribution we will donate all proceeds of Saturday Coffee Morning until the end of April towards humanitarian efforts and support of refugees.
Following its brief closure Saturday Coffee morning at 10A will resume on Saturday 5th February. Coffee and conversations every Saturday at 10.30 -12.00. All welcome. £2 for coffee (free refills) and biscuits/cake.
As members of the Hampstead Heath Consultative Committee, the Highgate Society supports the aims of the Heath and Hampstead Society and the City of London to preserve Hampstead Heath and, equally important, to ensure that development near the Heath must not harm its openness, or views from and to it. The Society believes that the massing and height of the six tower blocks proposed at Murphy’s Yard, of between 11 to 19 storeys, will have an overwhelming adverse impact on the openness of the Heath. Following representations by the Highgate Society, Pond Square residents and others, Camden Council has announced that the ‘No right turn’ restriction at the South Grove junction of Swains Lane will be withdrawn. The restriction at Bisham Gardens will be made permanent.
