Ever wondered what happens to all your domestic recycling after it has been collected from your home? How and where the different materials are separated, and where they all end up? And what are the most important and valuable things to recycle? Now is your chance to find out!
A free tour has been arranged for the Highgate Society to Bywaters’ state-of-the-art MRF (Materials Recycling Facility) in East London. Come along and improve your environmental awareness, and get tips on how best to recycle. The group size is limited to 15 people, so if interested register now!
The details are as follows:
When: Friday 31st May at 1.45 pm.
Meet at: Bromley-by-Bow tube station (at the ticket machines). We will then walk to the MRF, which is about 7 minutes away.
Clothing: Must be suitable for a factory tour. Wear sensible shoes too!
Duration: About 1.5 hours.
